Gregory Dale Vaughn, age 62, of Centerville, passed away peacefully Friday, May 20th, 2022 in his home surrounded by his wife, daughter, and puppies after a valiant battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Kim Vaughn; his daughter Kaitlin Vaughn; his brother Gary Vaughn (Melanie); two pups Rylee and Zoey; and two grand-pups, Carson and Kiwi.
To know Greg was to, without a doubt, love him. His dry humor, genuine laughter, and kind soul will leave a hole in the hearts of many.

Greg was born on July 23rd, 1959 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Doris and Gene Vaughn and is also preceded in death by his brother Gaylen. He had a successful 30-year career at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department where he also served as the department’s helicopter pilot. After retiring from the sheriff’s department, he also worked at Miami University Oxford, INDOT, and Earlham College.
The family has planned a private Celebration of Life for family and friends in his honor.
