Hobert Stanley, age 92 (born April 11, 1926 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky) left this life on Saturday (February 09, 2019) at his home.
He came to this area in 1935 and was a retired employee of the former Wayne Works. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He leaves behind his wife of 71 years, Helen (Robinson) Stanley; five children Carolyn Stanley, Robert (Ronda) Stanley, Cynthia Stanley, Wayne (Elisa) Stanley and Rose (Larry) Loper; grandchildren Robert, Andrew, Anthony, Jason Wayne and Jason Loper; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Delia and Robert; his son Silas and grandson Chris Loper.
Services will be held on Thursday (February 14, 2019) at 1:00 P.M. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Chaplain Rick Alvey will officiate.
Burial will immediately follow at Goshen Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday (February 14, 2019) at the funeral home.
