Hundreds gathered Friday night for a prayer vigil on the Richmond Municipal Building lawn for wounded Richmond Police Department Officer Seara Burton.

Although no specific updates on Burton’s health were provided at the vigil, Seara’s stepmother, Ami Miller, also an RPD officer, expressed gratitude Friday night and Saturday afternoon on social media for community support on behalf of their family.

“Please continue to pray hard!” Miller wrote. “Seara is a WARRIOR. She’s fighting so hard. The prayers are working!!!!”
