RICHMOND, Ind. – Imogene Jeannette Van Sickle, age 84, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, December 15, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born November 20, 1935, in Richmond, Indiana, to Francis T. and Esther Hartley Stanley Sr., Imogene lived in Richmond most of her life. She was a 1954 graduate of Richmond High School and earned a degree from the International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Imogene worked for her brother, Francis, at Igelman Printing from 1974-1998. She was a member of First Christian Church for over 50 years. Imogene was also a 25-year member of Eastern Star, served as a board member for the Richmond Rose Festival, and belonged to Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and vintage sheet music. Imogene’s family was her passion.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Witt and Denita (Mike) Lyons, both of Richmond; grandchildren, Ray (Sarah) Witt of Worland, Wyoming, Andrew Witt and Alex Lyons, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Greg Lyons of Richmond; great-grandchildren, Carley and Jackson Witt; niece, Kathy (Bob) Saylor of Lynn, Indiana; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francis Stanley Jr.; son-in-law, Luther Witt; and granddaughter, Megan Lyons.

A Celebration of Life for Imogene Jeannette Van Sickle will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Little Sheba’s, 175 Fort Wayne Avenue, Richmond. Private burial will be in Boston Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
