Isabelle Hunt, 102, a life-long resident of Connersville, went home to be with her Lord Thursday evening, January 2, 2020, at Caroleton Manor where she had been a resident since 2012.

One of four children of Clarence and Nellie Gouge Baker Collins, Isabelle was born in Connersville on March 25, 1917.

Isabelle married Walter Hunt in 1942 and he passed away on December 11, 1979.

Isabelle was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where she served as a charter member of the Trustee Helpers Club, was appointed Church Clerk for many years, and had served on the Usher Board. She was well known for her baking, especially rolls, bread, and cakes. In her leisure time, she enjoyed working on word puzzles, crocheting, and knitting.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Isabelle worked at home as a seamstress for Connersville Casket Company.

Survivors include three children, Marvin A. (Caroline) Hunt of Indianapolis, Christy J. Collier of Connersville, and Chris (Cynthia Ann) Hunt of Connersville; eight grandchildren, Marla (Quinten) Hunt Campbell, Marva Hunt, Marvin (Terri) Hunt, Jr., all of Indianapolis, Troy Collier of Connersville, Justin (Heather) Hunt of Marietta, Georgia, Heather (Joe) Penn Woods of Indianapolis, Christopher (Shannon) Hunt of Colorado Springs, and Genail Hunt of Richmond; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a God-daughter, Evelyn McIntyre; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband of 37 years, Walter Hunt, Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sheila Penn who passed away in May 2007; and three sisters.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Richard Ware will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
