Iva Jean Keal, age 97, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Forest Park Health Campus.
Born March 7, 1925, in Marion County, Indiana, to Paul and Lela Bowen Stephen, Jean moved to Richmond in 1958. She was a loving wife, great mother, grandmother, and aunt. Iva Jean was the owner and operator of the Adorn Beauty Shop for over 60 years and was a long-time active member of the Hodgin Road Christian Church and attended regularly until her health prevented it.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Keal of Richmond; grandson, Robert Lee Turner III of Richmond; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Boyd Keal; brothers, David “Dick” Stephen, Jim Stephen, and Don Stephen.
Visitation for Iva Jean Keal will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, with great-nephew Micah Stephen officiating at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Orange North Cemetery, Rush-Fayette Co Line Rd 850W, Orange, Indiana with nephew Donald Stephen officiating.
