Jack D. Jordan, 79, of Cambridge City, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Richmond. He was born on August 21, 1938 in Greenville, Ohio to Roy D. and Mabel Stump Jordan.
Jack had retired from the US Army, after 25 years in both active duty during the Vietnam war where he received a bronze star medal and in the Reserves/National Guard. He was a member of American Legion Post 169 and the F&AM #49 Lodge both of Hagerstown and a active member of Centerville Church of the Nazarene. He was employed for many years at MEG and Paul Casket company both of Cambridge City.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bonnie (Lamb)Jordan; children, David (Lola) Jordan and Kim (Drew) Clauser; 4 grandchildren, Heather (Justin) Hunt, Heidi (Brandon) Sizemore, Ryan (Sandi) Jordan and David (Tina) Parker; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings Louise (Clint) McCormick, Jeanette (Jim) Edwards and Mike Axle; nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Roy D. and Glen Jordan and Danny Axle.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Waskom Capitol Hill in Cambridge City with Rev. Trevor Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm where there will be Masonic services at 7:30.
