Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Bullock Byrd, 74, of Pinellas Park, Florida and formerly of Connersville, passed away June 7, 2019.

I was born September 14, 1944 to William Carl and Phyllis Glass Bullock.

As you will see I have chosen to write my own obituary. Why? It’s quite simple! Most obits list the clubs, organizations and notable accomplishments of the deceased. I have decided not to publish my “post-death resume.”

Instead, I find my greatest accomplishments are as follows: daughter Beth Leytham of Tampa, Florida; daughter Cindi Gentry and husband, Brad of North Vernon, Indiana; daughter Shannon Tanguay of Pinellas Park, Florida; son Jeff Byrd and wife, Jenn of Coto de Caza, California. Thus far they have blessed me with 9 grandchildren; Gillian, Jena, Jared, Amanda, Nick, Kate, Makynna, Hayden and Gavin; and 3 great-grandchildren.

I fully believe my children are perfect as, of course, are my grandchildren! They are, therefore, aware I will be “haunting” them for the rest of their lives, just to make sure they stay perfect!!

I have spent the last years of my life smoking a “fake cigarette” because the real ones gave me COPD/Emphysema. I will confess, however, to developing quite an affinity for chocolate. Chocolate helped make me fat and I didn’t care one little bit. I enjoyed every minute of that chocolate!! As an old woman I deserved to have at least one vice (that I choose to admit to anyway). It kept life interesting!

So, I say goodbye to my loved ones and to my friends (present and past), with a smile on my face, a fake cigarette in one hand and a chunk of chocolate in the other. My loving family and many friends have given me a fantastic life. Please celebrate me as I died completely content and with tremendous love for my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousin: Mike Hiatt of Houston, and you too, MHH.

Also, per my request, there will be no services.
