Jalynne A. Frye passed away at Reid Health on July 8, 2019. She was born September 4, 1963, to Joe and Jeannette Johnson in Richmond, Indiana.
Jalynne resided in Richmond, and was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church. She was a Respiratory Therapist and a Sleep Lab Study Technician and had worked at Reid Health and Henry County Hospital respectively serving for 14 years. Her hobbies were: electronics, martial arts (Karate), art, car detailing, watching and collecting movies, and music. Prince was her favorite musician. She loved spending time with family and friends. Jalynne was a God fearing woman, well-rounded and she excelled at anything she put her mind to.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Kenneth I. Frye (Richmond, IN); one daughter: Jeanette Frye (Las Vegas, NV); four step children: Tahma Smith (Dayton, OH), Kenneth Elgin Frye (Richmond, IN), Stephanie Williams (Richmond, IN) and Rick Williams (Richmond, IN); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters: Jane Carpenter Johnson (Fort Wayne, IN) and Kimberly Johnson (Fort Wayne, IN); six nieces: Jovonnda Carpenter (Richmond, IN), Krystal Johnson (Fort Wayne, IN), Faith Lyles (Indianapolis, IN), Januaree Marshall (Richmond, IN) and Marlinda and Michelle Weaver (VA); seven nephews: Ronnie Johnson (Fort Wayne, IN), William (Bo-D) Carpenter (Richmond, IN), Brandon Carpenter (Richmond, IN), Eugene Weaver (VA), James Marshall (Richmond, IN), Jonathan Hampton (Richmond, IN) and John Frye Jr. (Richmond, IN). She also leaves her two sisters in law: Jennifer Frye (Richmond, IN) and Kwan Weaver (Bristol, VA); two brothers in law: Marcus Weaver (Bristol, VA) and John Frye Sr. (Richmond, IN); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends including longtime friends: Sheryl Totten, Shelley Wilson, Rose Carpenter-Elam and Laura Floyd Sharp.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by parents, grandparents, mother and father-in-law; cousin: Timothy (TJ) Johnson; two sisters in law: Sylvia Frye and Brenda Frye; and two brothers-in-law: Thomas Weaver and William Carpenter Sr.
