RICHMOND, Ind. – James C. Senters, age 71, of Richmond, Indiana, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Reid Health.

Born May 21, 1946, in Berea, Kentucky, to James B. and Ruth Anderson Senters, Jim lived in this community most of his life. He worked at Phillips Drugs for 37 years. Jim was an avid sports fan and a huge UK fan. He enjoyed reading, especially Tom Clancy books; gardening; and spending time with his family and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Elizabeth A. Stemple Senters; children, John (Beth) Senters of Richmond, Tina (Ric) Todd of Tennessee, and James R. (Lisa) Senters of Richmond; nine grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy (Perry) Jarvis of Abington, Indiana; nieces; nephews; aunts, Viola Woodall and Nivra Ann Smith, both of Kentucky; uncle, Bill Senters of Centerville, Indiana; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Peyton Senters; parents; sister, Barbara Warth; and nephew, Barry Cox.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Boston Cemetery in Boston, Indiana. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
