Connersville, IN – James H. Lowhorn, 74, of Connersville, died Friday, August 4, 2017, at Reid Health in Richmond.

James was born in Albany, Kentucky on April 14, 1943, to James Clyde and Flonnie Ferguson Lowhorn.

He was a 1961 graduate of New Castle High School and married Carole Williams in Livingston, Tennessee on February 20, 1963.

James was employed for 35 years at Chrysler in New Castle retiring in September 2001. He was a member of the UAW. James also worked as a farmer. He loved horses, cattle and farming. James raised five children: Tony Hinton and wife, Connie of Lewisville, Tracy Hinton and wife, Sandi of Indianapolis, Trena Morgan and husband Randy of New Castle, and Tiffanie Selby and husband, Randy of Connersville. He is also survived by a son-in-law: Rob Woodall of Connersville; a brother: Gene Lowhorn and wife, Toni of New Castle; a sister: Wanda Gross and husband, Darrell of New Castle; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie Woodall; a grandson, Clay Woodall; and a great-grandson.

Following cremation, a private family graveside service will be at the convenience of the family in Columbia Cemetery.
