James H. Watt, 92, passed away June 13, 2020 at The Springs of Richmond, IN. He was born 4-1928 the youngest son of Thomas and Pearl Watt of Milton, IN. He graduated from Milton High School in 1946, and served in the army for 1 and a half years, serving in Japan and earning the Army of Occupation Medal Japan and WWII Victory Medal. After his service, he went to and graduated from Earlham College. He worked for INA insurance until moving to Hawaii and working as an auditor for public utilities for the state of Hawaii, and lived in Hawaii for about 35 years. After retirement, he moved back to Indiana, where he loved to garden, work with his flowers, hunt mushrooms, enjoy family, watch tennis and game shows, do seek and find books, and enjoying his pets and playing cards.
Survived by nieces: Linda (Richard) McPherson of Muncie, Betty (Larry) Reich of Richmond, Carolyn (Charles) Sherwood of Cambridge City; nephews: Clifford Watt Jr. of Texas, Darrell Watt of Richmond, David and Sean Watt, Kenny Sumwalt of Florida, Kevin Watt of Ohio.
Deceased: parents, brothers: Harold, Ralph, Lester, Glen, Clifford; sisters: Ruth (Howard) Smith and Hazel (Lester) Sumwalt.
James donated his body to IN Anatomical Education Program.
There will be no public services.
