WWN Obituaries - James L. Foreman

Richmond, IN – James L. Foreman 73 of Richmond went home to be with the Lord November 4, 2016 at Reid Hospital after playing 18 holes of Golf, a game he dearly loved. Later he had a massive heart attack. Jim was born February 15, 1943 in Richmond to Earl Foreman and Stella Faye Caplinger Foreman Conrad and lived here all his life.

Jim was a truck driver for 35 years and a bus driver with Richmond Community Schools 16 years. He was an Air Force veteran serving from 1961-65 stationed at Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Jim pastored the First Baptist Church of Fountain City until its closing in 2014. Jim and his wife Jenny then started attending Hillcrest Baptist Church, and instantly fell in love with the pastor and the people there.

Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years Jenny, who he married January 2, 1962. In addition to his wife Jim is survived by two sons Chris (Felicia) Foreman of Dayton, Ohio and Sean (Megan) Foreman of Zionsville, one daughter Sherry (Jimmy) Breeden of Pershing, six grandchildren Paige and Brooke Foreman, and Ashley (Ryan) Young of Anderson, Whitney (John) Lamb of Patuxent River, Maryland, Sydney and Luke Basler of Pershing, five great grandchildren Layton, Jase and Gavin Lamb, Mason and Isabella Young, one sister Carol (Jim) DeLucio of Richmond, one brother Ken Foreman of Kingman, Arizona, a dear aunt Phyllis Robinson of Eustis Florida, nieces, nephews, and cousins including a special cousin David Caplinger, who was his golfing buddy. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Joann LaKamp.

Jim loved to tease others, especially his two granddaughters Paige and Brooke, and four special ladies Kathy Ewen, Cathy Boicourt, sister-in-law Carol Bussen, and daughter-in-law Megan. He teased them relentlessly. After some time Megan said to him, “I’ve had just about enough of you Jim Foreman!” He would quit for a little bit, then be right back at it again.
