RICHMOND, Ind. – James Thomas “Jim” Ringley, age 71, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, January 24, 2020, at Reid Health.

Born January 12, 1949, in Richmond, Indiana, to Robert E. and Dorothy M. Corder Ringley, Jim was a life-long resident of Wayne County. He graduated from Centerville High School. Jim worked in maintenance at many of the local restaurants and was an ice cream truck driver. He enjoyed going to the Moose Lodge, solving puzzles, watching TV, and spending time with his children at family gatherings. Jim loved his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Denise Lynn (William) Mills of Richmond, Roger Ringley of Rushville, Indiana, and Dana Shaffer of Richmond; grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany, Samantha, Paul, Alexis, Carmen, Christina, and Crystal; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Karsyn, Bentley, Angel, Braydence, Jody, Savannah, Selena, Allen, Ashley, and Amanda; siblings, Dan (Judy) Ringley and Robin (Isabelle) Ringley, both of Richmond, Steven (Donna) Ringley of Texas, and Dave Ringley of Tennessee; aunt, Donna Johnson of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends, including Doug Durham and Bobby Campbell, both of Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no public services for James Thomas “Jim” Ringley. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in King Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
