RICHMOND, Ind. – Janet S. Love, age 72, of Richmond, Indiana, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Reid Health.

Born May 14, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, to Raymond H. and Ruth Anna Ringley Simmermeyer, Janet was a life-long resident of Richmond. She was 1964 graduate of Richmond High School. She worked as a telephone operator and for Olan Mills. Janet retired after over 20 years from the business office of the Palladium-Item. She was a member of Chester Community Church and the Richmond Senior Center, where she served on the Widowed Persons Service Advisory Board. Janet was an excellent doll maker. She enjoyed watching sports, especially Jeff Gordon and NASCAR; cooking; crocheting; and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil Blair Love, to whom she was married on July 4, 2015; daughter, Susan (Ben) Lukacek of West Virginia; granddaughter, Anna Lukacek of West Virginia; sister, Carol Hartman of Bremen, Indiana; brother, James (Pamela) Simmermeyer of Connersville, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Simmermeyer.
Visitation was Nov. 25 and funeral was Nov. 26 at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond, with the Rev. Wayne Blair officiating. Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
