CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Jerry J. Huber, age 85, of Centerville, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at his home. Born March 24, 1932, in Richmond, Indiana, to George J. and Gladys E. Simpson Huber, Jerry was a life-long resident of Wayne County.

He graduated from Richmond High School in 1951 and attended Earlham College. Jerry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired as Corporate Secretary of Peoples Federal Savings Bank after 32 years of service and formerly worked as a bus driver for Centerville-Abington Community Schools. Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Harry Ray Post #65.

Survivors include his daughter, Alisa Ann (David) Allen of Centerville; son, Michael R. (Susan) Huber of Eagan, Minnesota; grandchildren, Elizabeth (David) Hilburg of Arlington,Virginia, Katherine Huber of Valdez, Alaska, and Travis J. Allen of Centerville; and great-grandchild, Lilliana Hilburg.
He was preceded in death by his of wife 51 years, Rae Joann Franklin Huber, who died on January 12, 2003; parents; sister, Jo Ann Bertsch; and brother, Jack Huber.
A public graveside service for Jerry J. Huber will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Earlham Cemetery with Father Kevin Morris officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond, IN 47330.
