Joe Rasnick, age 78, of Laurel, Indiana died Saturday, October 19, 2019, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, following a brief illness.
Born July 29, 1941 in Brookville, Indiana he was one of eight children born to the late William Albert & Mary Kathryn (Castle) Rasnick. He worked for over 24 years at the former Wayne Works in Richmond, Indiana and then Owned & Operated Rasnick Trucking for 30 years.
In his leisure time he enjoyed tinkering on cars and going to car shows, as well as spending time with his family.
Survivors include two children, Jennifer (Rasnick) Kocher of Sunman, Indiana, Joey (Lesley) Rasnick of Brookville, Indiana, their mother, Geri Rasnick of Sunman, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Corey Pence, Curran Pence, Erika Rasnick, Brayden Kocher, Kyra Jo Rasnick, Bryn Kocher, Breann Kocher; two sisters, Janet Hatfield of Cambridge City, Indiana and Kathleen Day of Connersville, Indiana; two brothers, Ronald Rasnick of Cincinnati, Ohio and David Rasnick of Milton, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya M. Pence who died December 5, 2008; as well as three brothers, Timothy, Larry, James Rasnick.
