John Kochersperger, 81, of New Paris, Ohio, formerly of Randolph County, IN, passed away early Friday morning, January 15, 2021 at State of the Heart Hospice Center, Greenville, Ohio. He was born May 14, 1939 in Randolph County, Indiana the son of Gerald and Dorothy Kochersperger. He was a 1957 graduate of Spartanburg High School.
John was a lifelong farmer in Randolph County and he also owned and operated a trucking company, JK Trucking, for many years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing, playing cards, camping and square dancing.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Donna; a son, John Eric Kochersperger of Richmond, IN; a daughter, Susan Cummins (husband, Rick) of New Paris, OH; a sister, Mary Short (husband, Howard) of Racine, WI; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Marvin; and a beloved daughter, Rebecca Kochersperger.
Due to the concerns surrounding Covid-19, the family will be having private services. Burial will be in Fountain Park Cemetery of Winchester, IN. Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN has been entrusted with arrangements.
