Kaye Chomel Branson, 80, of Connersville went home to be with the Lord late Thursday evening, February 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at Reid Health, Richmond.
The oldest of two daughters of Roy and Helen Chomel Kellam, Kaye was born in Connersville on July 26, 1940 and graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1958.
On September 2, 1961, Kaye married William Branson in First Baptist Church of Connersville. Mr. Branson passed away July 1, 2020.
Kaye was a longtime member of Alquina United Methodist Church and worked together with her husband on the family farm, Silverbrook, for nearly 60 years.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed camping, sitting around the campfire near the farm pond, spending winters in Florida with their many dear friends, and playing bridge. Kaye’s greatest love was spending time with her loving family.
Survivors include three children, Sheri (Bryon) Walker, Beth (Jeff) Lakes, and Stephen (Nicole) Branson, all of Connersville; nine grandchildren, Emily (Matt) Mills, Mitchell Lakes, Conner Lakes, Hunter Lakes, Sarah (Jacob) Lacy, Abigail Sizemore, Ellie (Devan) Blair, Grace Branson, and Bryce Walker. She is also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her husband of 59 years, Bill Branson, Kaye is preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Katie Jo Frye; and a sister, Jane Myers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend Judd will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
