Kenneth R. Guffey, Jr. 58, of Cambridge City, passed away unexpectedly in his home early on the morning of Tuesday, November 22, 2106.
He was born November 18, 1958 in New Castle, a son of the late Kenneth Ray Guffey, Sr. and Grace (Engle) Guffey.
Junior had been in the roofing business for 23 years and was the owner of K & J’s Roofing. He loved playing Bingo, spending time at Casino’s, riding his motorcycle and stock car racing. Junior had an outgoing personality and never knew a stranger.
Those left to cherish Junior’s memory include three children, Jamie Guffey of Glendale, CA, Donnie Guffey of Richmond and Reva Guffey of Richmond; three grandchildren, Skyler Daily, Summer Guffey and Chandler Byrd; two brothers, Ronald Guffey of Florida and Howard (wife: Archie) Guffey of Arizona; a sister, Sue (husband: Kenny) Rodenburg of Brownsville; his great-grandmother, Margaret Miller of Connersville; his former wife, Bernice Fay Guffey of Richmond and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Prewitt and Donald Guffey, and a sister, Barbara Ann Summers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 28, 2016 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
