Kurtis G. Knipp, 54, Pershing, passed away Friday November 5, 2021 at his residence in Pocatello, Idaho from heart failure.  Kurtis was born in New Castle, Indiana on May 16, 1967, to Theodore and Wanda (Fennell) Knipp.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1985 where he played football and wrestled.  Kurtis attended Vincennes University for one year prior to enlisting in the United States Marine Corps.  Following his military service, Kurtis attended Hobart Institute of Welding.  He spent many years traveling for his employment as a Certified Welding Inspector.

Survivors include his mother, Wanda Knipp of Pershing; one sister, Amy (Danny) Edwards of Cambridge City; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Kurtis was preceded in death by his father, Theodore “Ted” Knipp, on May 9, 2012.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
