L. Gene Stohler of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, passed away on November 21, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 91.

Gene was born October 29, 1928, to Carl and Dorothy Stohler of Hagerstown, Indiana. He married his high school sweetheart, Norma, and the two shared 63 wonderful years together. Both Gene and Norma graduated from Butler University, and Gene continued his education at Harvard, earning a Masters of Business Administration.

Gene was a marketing mogul who served in various lead marketing roles for automotive suppliers, including Executive Vice President of Marketing for Masco Tech.

Gene and Norma raised their three kids, Catherine, Shelley and Mark, in the greater Great Lakes area. They settled in Michigan and resided in Bloomfield Hills for 45 years. Since retirement, Gene and Norma have resided in the winter months in Bonita Springs, FL and are blessed to have made many dear and cherished friends across the country. Gene and Norma loved to golf together and spent as much time as they could with their grandhcildren and great grandchildren.

Dear brother of Mary Louise (the late Johnny), Francis (Rosalie), Barbara (Smitty), Dick (Marilyn), and Gale (Lana). Preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Norma; his son Mark; and his brother Marvin (the late Doris and Betty).

Family will receive friends Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 11 am until the time of service at 12 Noon at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile), 248-549-0500.
