Larry Gene Dalbey, age 70, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday April 21, 2022 and is now rejoicing with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Peggy; his daughter Kim (Brent) Morris, his son Chad (Debbie) Dalbey; grandchildren Michael, Brandon (Sarah), Tyler Marie (Rob), Jaxin, Taygan, Avery and great-granddaughter Aubrey Jane; brothers Danny (Debbie) Dalbey, Robert (Jessy) Dalbey; sisters Suzi (Larry) Lawson, Sandy (Dale) Palmer, Debbie (Paul) Stevermer, Susan (Frank) Cervone, Tina (Dave) Ray, sister-in-law Diane (Harry) Barfield; his father, Earl Polson; several nieces and nephews and his Pretty Girl, Mitsi. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Polson.

Larry served in the Navy aboard the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam War from 1970-1974. Upon his return he worked at Richmond Power and Light in the Whitewater Generator Plant. He transferred to the Meter Department where he became Meter Department Superintendent. After 20 years, he joined Brownstown Electrical Supply Company (BESCO) where he became one of the most well-known and respected educators of the metering industry. He retired from BESCO in 2017 and then started his own metering consulting firm.

Larry was an avid Colts fan, holding season tickets for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing on his fishing boats, camping at his beloved summer home, cruising on his golf cart, listening to music, studying God’s word daily, sharing the Gospel with others and spending time with his family and friends.

Services for Larry will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Ken Harris will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Monday April 25, 2022 at the funeral home.
