Larry Herbert Johnson, the son of Thomas C and Dorothy L. Johnson, was born on May 30, 1943 at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. He departed this life on February 17, 2020.
He graduated from Richmond High School. Joining the Army, spending three years in Germany serving his country. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Corporation after working as a lithograph Operator for thirty five years. Later working for Silgan for four years in the same job.
Larry was united in marriage with Tonita Lewis in 1966. From this marriage was born two children, Brad and Lori.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren: Bre’elle, Alex, Travon, Zoe and Iman, also his great grandchild Rogan. They were his joy. Larry also enjoyed working with electronics, music and computers.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, three sisters Ora Jean Kidd, Pamela Mayberry and Nova Johnson; three Brothers Alvin T. Johnson, Jerald Johnson and Kim Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Tonita; two children, one son Brad and one daughter Lori Johnson both of Richmond, Indiana; three sisters Selma and Vivia Johnson both of Richmond and Tonoa Johnson of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers Aaron Johnson of Richmond and Virgil Johnson of Austin, Texas.
For this is a journey that we all must take! Each must do it alone. It is all a part of the Masters Plan, a step on the road home. Take the love I gave and carry it forward, for I will see you in heaven my beloved.
