The winner of the March 6 drawing at American Legion Post 169 in Cambridge City took a $500 prize, leaving the jackpot and half jackpot spaces on the game board. That means the jackpot on Friday, March 13, will climb to $162,000.
An ever-increasing crowd gathered outside the Legion post in the first block of West Church Street on Friday despite the blustery conditions to learn if they had won when the winning ticket was announced at 7:30 p.m.
Although the Legion and nearby restaurants serve food, this week a food truck set up down the street in hopes of gaining business from the crowd.
