Leona M. Ramsey, age 84, of Richmond, Indiana, passed peacefully Saturday, January 20, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 30, 1933, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to James and Margaret Clark Kelly, Leona lived in Richmond most of her life. She was a homemaker being a loving wife and mother, and also worked for Belden in Richmond and Louisiana off and on for many years. Leona loved playing Bingo and cards, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Donald “Don” E. Ramsey of Richmond; sons, Tom (Ann) Ramsey of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Ron (Gale) Ramsey of Richmond, John (Monica) Ramsey of Mamou, Louisiana, Jerry (Bertie) Ramsey of Hagerstown, Indiana, and Donald (Kim) Ramsey of Richmond; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marian Gilbert of Richmond and Edith (Bill) Hill of Fountain City, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Florence Callahan, Pearl Wareham, and Eleanor Langlands; brothers, Wayne Kelly, Fred Kelly, and Tommy Kelly; and special friend, Connie Hamilton.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Hodgkin officiating. Burial was in Earlham Cemetery in the Veterans Field of Honor.
