CAMBRIDGE CITY–  Marcia L. Crabtree, 60, passed away Thursday evening September 2, 2021, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana from complications of COVID-19.

A daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Alice Armilda (Doyle) Bradford Jr., Marcia was born in New Castle, Indiana, on March 7, 1961.

A lifelong resident of the Cambridge City community, Marcia graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979 and received an Associates Degree in Business Management from Ivy Tech.

She married the love of her life, Rick Crabtree, on February 2, 1980, at the Milton Christian Church.  She told Rick that by being married on Groundhog Day he should never forget their anniversary date!

A devoted and loving wife and mother, Marcia worked several jobs throughout her life which included 10 years at the Ford plant in Connersville, 5 years at Howa in Richmond, Leisure’s Home Center in Cambridge City and Bradford Insurance Agency in Dublin. Her most important job has been spoiling her grandchildren for the past 14 years.

In her leisure, Marcia enjoyed working outside in her yard with flowers and gardening.  She loved all animals especially her dogs and horses.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Rick L. Crabtree; 2 children, Ricky Crabtree Jr. of Greenville, TX and Kasey Crabtree of Hagerstown; 2 grandsons, Ethan and Cale Campbell; sister, Debbie (Wesley) Crabtree of Cambridge City; nieces, Tracy Crabtree and Brandie Bowling; sisters in-law, Pamela (Tom) Gregory, Virginia (Tony) Haler, Sandra (John) Noland and Rebecca Harris.

Marcia was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Bradford; nephew, Jason Guffey and foster sister, Joann Hicks.

Following a private visitation, Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.  Should anyone wish to participate in the funeral procession past Marcia’s home to the cemetery, we will be leaving the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
