Marcia Jo Smith, age 79, passed away on Monday September 6, 2021 at Reid Health. She was born on October 11, 1941 in Connersville, Indiana to Willis and Maxine Dawson Pyke. Marcia was a graduate of Richmond High School, class of 1959 and married Joe Smith on February 11, 1961 in the First Christian Church Chapel. Marcia enjoyed traveling, painting, reading, line dancing and spending time with her family. She was also a member of LifeSpring Church North. Marcia was a devoted daughter, a loving mother and a proud grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Joe Smith; daughters Elizabeth Poore of Colorado and Jennifer (Dennis) Baumer of Richmond; grandchildren Matthew VanMatre of Colorado, Jessica (Ron) Hopwood of Colorado, Kyle (Desiree) Baumer of Plainfield, Indiana and Melissa Crowe of Richmond. She also had three great-grandchildren that she adored.
