Marcia Sue VanWinkle, age 88, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Arbor Trace.

Born October 20, 1933, in Richmond, Indiana, to Delbert and Edith Stremmel Hartman, Marcia was a lifelong resident of Richmond. She worked many different places, including Haag Drug and Staco Energy Products Company. Marcia was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where had she served as church treasurer. Marcia was an exceptionally good cook and used this gift to make many meals for church members. She also enjoyed working all kinds of puzzles.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Jim) Daugherty of Richmond, Nelson (Cheryl) VanWinkle of Crown Point, Indiana, and Sheri (Dave) Hickman of Eaton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Daughtery of Westfield, Indiana, Kyle (Katie) VanWinkle of Crown Point, Indiana, Joel (Shayla) VanWinkle of Oklahoma, Matthew (Jordan) Hickman of Richmond, and Micah (Stacey) Hickman, Josh Hickman, and Allie Hickman, all of Eaton; ten great-grandchildren, Auron and Seraphina Rose VanWinkle, Isaiah and Eli Hampton, and Esther, Eden, Owen, Ellie, Gabriel, and Mia Hickman; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Harold VanWinkle, who passed August 13, 2021; sisters, Myra Prifogle and Marilyn Brockman; brothers, Mac, Merle, Marvin and Melvin Hartman; and granddaughter, Jessica Hickman.

Visitation for Marcia Sue VanWinkle will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. July 27, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Brett Karanovich officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
