Marilyn Jo Van Etten, 84, of Alpharetta, GA, passed away May 2, 2022, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Marilyn was born to the late Raymond and Lucille Brisco, February 1, 1938. Marilyn graduated from Richmond (IN) High School in 1956, and attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Marilyn was preceded in death in 2012 by her husband of 53 years, Walter Thomas (Tom) Van Etten, also originally from Richmond, IN, and her older brother, Raymond Brisco Jr., formerly of Anderson, IN.
Marilyn is survived by her sons: Brad, his wife Joanne and their two children, Ashley and Lindsey of Alpharetta, GA; Craig, his wife Marie and their two children, Cassandra and Michael of Avon Lake, OH. She is also survived by her older sister Ann, her husband Noel Anderson of Centerville, OH. Sister-in-law, Joyce Brisco of Anderson, IN, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Tom Cox of Richmond, IN along with 6 nephews and 1 niece. Marilyn loved to cook and entertain for family and friends along with organizing activities in her retirement communities in Cumming, GA and Callawassie Island, SC.
