Mary Catherine Kacky Kennedy was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 18, 2021, in Dayton, Ohio. She was born on August 25, 1976, to Columbus Sonny Kennedy and Caryol Bit Davis-Kennedy in Richmond, Indiana.

Kacky went to Richmond Senior High School, and lived most of her life in Richmond, IN. In 1996, she received her Certified Nursing Assistant certification from Golden Rule Nursing Home, which was the beginning of her life long career in long-term care. Kacky worked over 20 years as a CNA, and then she advanced into social work. She always displayed compassionate care and love to all of her residents and co-workers who became like family to her. Kacky often told stories about her residents, and you could just see the joy it brought to her life.

In 1999, Kacky relocated to Toledo, Ohio, where she lived for several years, and gave life to three beautiful daughtersNiJah, NiKailah, and Nyah. In 2008, she relocated to Centerville, Ohio, where she gave life to a fourth beautiful daughter Shamari in 2012. This completed the four chambers of her heart. Kacky loved her four beautiful girls with all of her heart. She loved spending time with them which often included shopping, getting their hair and nails done, cooking, dancing, singing, and playing practical jokes on each other. In her own words Kacky said, the thing that I will miss the most is hearing my children’s laughter.

Kacky touched so many people’s lives during her short time on this Earth. Her caring soul and loving heart is what made her so appealing to the people who came in contact with her. Kacky was well known for her contagious smile, silly laughter, and her cussing. She would cuss you out in a minute, but she did it with love. One of her favorite and last phrases was F*** Cancer.

Kacky leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children NiJah, NiKailah, Nyah Kennedy-Jones, and Shamari Lawrence; siblings Christopher Chez, Curtis Chuckie, Cynthia Sissy Kennedy, Camalla Piggy Baker, Cameron Ram (Stacy) Kennedy, along with honorary sister/best friend Michelle Horton.
