Mary Elizabeth Holcomb, 101 years old, passed away peacefully at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville on Saturday morning October 7, 2017. A daughter of the late George and Crystal (Lannerd) Myers, Mary was born in Jacksonburg, Indiana on August 6, 1916. Formerly of Knightstown, Mary was a longtime resident of Hagerstown and was a graduate Hagerstown High School. Mary was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Hagerstown where she was a member of their sewing circle and the Losantville Eastern Star. She volunteered at the Hagerstown Thrift Store. Mary retired from the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Home in Knightstown where she worked as a house parent.

Survivors include 2 children, Sarah E. Lucas of Largo, FL and Frank J. Holcomb of Port Orchard, WA; 3 grandchildren, David (Sherri) Lucas of Centerville, Michelle Edwards of Largo, FL and Joseph Holcomb of Port Orchard, WA; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson. Mary was preceded in death by 5 sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday October 13, 2017at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Fr. John Luerman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
