Mary Kay Reitenour, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Reid Health.
Born February 24, 1924, in Richmond, Indiana, to Garnet and Viola Hobbs Ringley, Mary Kay was a life-long resident of this community. She was a 1942 graduate of Richmond High School. Mary Kay was a realtor at Lingle Real Estate, retiring in 1990. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Richmond and a former member of American Business Women’s Association. Mary Kay enjoyed spending her winters in Fort Myers and Sarasota, Florida. Her family was Mary Kay’s greatest joy in life.
Survivors include her daughters, Dianne (Scott) Ramsey of Sarasota, Florida, and Marsha (Bill) Holt of Richmond and stepdaughter, Pam (Larry) Tucker of Hagerstown, Indiana. Grandma Kay also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Heather (Dale) Blunk, Ryan (Lane) Wood, Karamie Wood, and Kristine Prestel; three step-grandchildren, Erica (Kevin) Durant, Chad (Melissa) Lovell, and Jason (Kristin) Reitenour; six great-grandchildren, Ella, Avery, Hayden, Asher, Melina, and J.J.; six step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandson. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, who were all special to their Aunt Kay.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace Ellis; second husband, William Reitenour; parents; sisters, Helen Brady, Iva Mae Vore, Ruth Anna Simmermeyer, and Opal Bozoarth; and very loving and special friend, Bill Lingle, who was a part of the family for many years.
Visitation for Mary Kay Reitenour will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Chalk officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Richmond.
