Michael Eugene Hensley, age 68, passed away at Reid Health on May 18, 2022. He was born December 5, 1953, the son of Robert and Dovie Hensley, in Clinton, Tennessee.
Michael had worked at Dixon’s Auto Trim for approximately 25 years doing upholstery on auto interiors. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, dirt track racing and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was known by friends as Papaw Mike.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter: Angi Burdette (Jason); two grandchildren: Sierra Powers Duarte (Zachary), New Paris, OH, and Drake Hensley (Ashley), Hagerstown, IN; seven great grandchildren: Zeke, Kyler, Zacary, Ryder, Harmony, Elizabeth and Amirah; two sisters: Sheila Johnson (Tony) and Brenda Bowers; three brothers: Eddie, Benny and Bobby (Imogene); many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends: Donnie “Coon Dog” and Claudia Middleton.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a son: Johnathan Hensley; grandson: Jake Calico; sister: Linda Shepherd; brother-in-law: Dewey Shepherd; and a brother: Danny Hensley.
