Montell (Monty) W. Shinn Jr, 54, of Centerville IN, transitioned Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Hospice of Hamilton, in Hamilton, OH.
Monty was born July 28, 1967, the son of Montell Sr. and Rebecca (Bertram) Shinn Garvin.
Monty enjoyed joking around with a great sense of humor. He was very thoughtful and caring and loved spending time with his family.
Monty is survived by one son, Andrew Shinn of Richmond; two sisters, Melissa Helms of Centerville, Misha (Joe) Spencer of Greenfield; three brothers, Kevin (Amy) Booth of Indianapolis, Tony (Carolyn) Garvin of of Centerville, Dudley Garvin of Decatur; his step father Ronald Garvin of Centerville; Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Monty was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Rhonda Taylor.
A Memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 18th at 2021 at his childhood home in Centerville. All are welcome to come by and share a funny story.
