Nola “Lucille” Wages, age 96, a New Castle resident, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2020. She was a patient at Heritage House Convalescent Center.

She was born May 2, 1924 in Farmers, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Hubert and Clementine Roberts Moore. She was a homemaker and loved family activities. She was a member of the First Bible Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Wages enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning food, family get togethers, crossword puzzles and puzzle books. Mrs. Wages loved working in the nursery at her church and was very involved working with other women of the church preparing and serving meals.

Left to cherish her loving memory include two daughters, Linda Ballinger (husband, Donald), New Castle, Patsy Denny (husband, Clyde), Anderson; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Masters (Don), Anderson, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene Wages on August 9, 2013; four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Macer-Hall-Marcum & Moffitt Funeral Home, 2011 E. Broad Street Chapel with Reverend Clyde Denny officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call 12:00 until service time at the funeral home.
