Norma Jeanne Smith, 90, of Richmond, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2022. She was born February 15, 1932, in Richmond to Howard and Ruby Myers Petty and lived here all of her life.

She worked at Hills Roses, Johns Custom Framing, Yarn and Yardage.

Norma was an accomplished needle worker, knitter, and seamstress; she shared her talents with several people in the community.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish; where she attended St. Mary’s, St. Andrew, and Holy Family Churches.

Norma is survived by her husband of 72 years John Smith, one daughter Debra (Brian) Doggett, one son Timothy (Sandy) Smith, four grandchildren Jason Andrade, Shelley White, Amy, and Kasey Smith, and five great-grandchildren Dylan, Caitlyn, Samuel, Kinlee, Raegan, several nieces and nephews; two brothers in law Dudley Ramsey, William Denny, one sister in law Ann Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Randall Smith who passed away on March 5, 2022, and one brother William Petty.

Liturgy of Christian of Burial will be at 11 AM Thursday, July 21, 2022, at St. Andrews Church with Rev. Joe Kraemer officiating; inurnment will be in Earlham Cemetery.
