Patricia Gail Cox passed away peacefully January 8, 2019, at Otterbein Senior Life Community in Lebanon, Ohio, due to complications with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 81 years old.

Gail was born February 20, 1937, in Vicco, Kentucky, and moved to Richmond, Indiana in 1955 where she married and began her family. She worked at Staco in Richmond for several years and then became a hairdresser for Bryon House (later The Mane Attraction) in Centerville.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured her family and embraced her time with them. She loved travelling and was always ready at a moment’s notice to go on a trip. She led a very active lifestyle. The activities she enjoyed include volleyball, camping, hiking, water skiing and snow skiing. She was especially fond of sewing and crafting in her free time.

We love her and miss her so very much, her laughter and her sense of humor. We treasure all the happy memories of our time with her, she will live in our hearts forever.

Survivors include husband John Donald Cox; children Marla (Mark) Harris, Roger (Kathy) Young and Rhonda (Steve) Huff; grandchildren Heather Harris, Brandon Harris, Penny Hossman, Lauren Young, Jaden Young, Jenna Huff and Jason Huff; great grandchildren Colyn Harris, Braden Harris, Reagan Harris, Skyler Reece and Hayley Reece; and a great-great grandchild on the way Silas Harris.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her sisters Sherian Fleming, Phyllis Combs and Barbara Delk.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Saint Mary Catholic Church. Father John Luerman will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in St. Andrews Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday, January 15, at St. Mary Catholic Church.
