Pauline Riley, 104, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5 in the comfort of her home in Chandler, Arizona.

   She was born Mary Pauline Hartman on April 20, 1917 in Wayne County, Indiana to Carl Henry and Lottie Mary Nolte Hartman. Pauline was a 1934 graduate of Whitewater High School.

   Pauline was retired from Holthouse Furniture. She was a life member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Richmond, where she served as the financial secretary from 1995-2006. Pauline began volunteering at Reid Hospital in 1995 and had more than 3,000 hours of service.

   Pauline will be missed by her sons, Larry Riley & his wife, Tammi, and Mike Riley & his wife, Delores; four grandchildren, Ryan Riley, Ashley Cram, Michael Andrew Riley and Michael Lynn Riley; great-grandchildren, Maddie Riley, Ryder Riley, Crosby Vega, Savannah Cram; and several nieces & nephews.

   Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Riley; grandson, Larry Lee Riley, Jr.; 4 sisters, Geneva Wehrley, Alice Brumbaugh, Florence Beard and Opal Hornbeck; and brother, Bill Hartman.

   A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 13 at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery.
