Peggy Ann Bertsch, 67, of Cambridge City passed away on Monday October 25, 2021 at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born in Milton, IN on January 3, 1954 to Vernon and Marjorie (Jones) Helmsing. Peggy graduated in 1972 from Lincoln High School and lived her entire life in this area.

Peggy was a member of Jacksonburg Christian Church and was active in the Ladies Aid Group. She loved to sew, crochet, her cats, watching birds and all God’s creations, reading, music and cooking(she made the best deviled eggs). She worked in the casket industry as a seamstress. Peggy was active in Sewing Seams of Delight, sewing dresses and crocheting animals for children throughout the world.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Bertsch; three step-children – Brian (Heather) Bertsch, Alan (Lisa) Bertsch and Heath Bertsch;  sisters-in-law Diana Jo Clawson and Janice Brook; seven step-grandchildren; a step-great granddaughter; her sister, Linda (Leonard) Stone; and a nephew, Chris Banks. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother and sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City and on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 from 10:30 until the start of the funeral service at 11 AM at Jacksonburg Christian Church, 1640 Jacksonburg Rd. Cambridge City, IN.
