Peggy D. Mitchell was born Dec. 13th, 1941 in Richmond, Indiana. The daughter of Harold Eugene Robinson Sr. and Betty Oxendine Robinson.

She was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene. She served on the Church Board for 14yrs. She was a part of the Women’s Ministry and the Missionary Board. She also attended her son’s Church, Whole Persons Ministry in Indianapolis, IN where she was active in various ways in the ministry.

She loved to go to sporting events with her husband. She attended Richmond Community schools and graduated Richmond High School in 1960. After graduating she was employed at INA (ACE) Insurance company and she also worked at C.R. Richardson as a Reading tutor. She loved everyone and she didn’t know a stranger. She was also known for her special talks, her famous lectures and talking from A to Z and back again. She loved to watch people and enjoyed supporting everyone in sporting events and would often press out to go to sporting events even when she was ill. She was also involved in Mothers of Action, who marched against local schools that discriminated against African American students in the early 70’s. During this course of action Peggy and a group of mothers would march holding signs and would cook food for those being oppressed. She was also the president of the Cepian Club, in which she planned formal balls, concerts, and parties for local residents.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her Spouse Larry V. Mitchell Sr. of 58 years. Her children Larrianne Bland, Larry V. Mitchell II, and Lainie Rodriquez, all reside in Indianapolis, IN. Her Grandchildren: Lacey Roberson of Indianapolis, IN, Ashlie D. Pulley of Indianapolis, lN, and Blake V. Mitchell of Richmond, IN Her Great Grandchildren: Adara Pulley, Sophie Mitchell, Amayah Schultz, Ezekiel Mitchell, Gabriella Mitchell and A’Mora Schultz Her Sisters: Robin Castillo (Carlos) of Indianapolis, IN Shirley Erby of Indianapolis, IN April Mack-Williams (Andre) of Cincinnati, OH Her Brothers: Harold Robinson (Midge) of Richmond, IN Rodney Robinson (Sharon) of Reynoldsburg, OH Ronald Robinson (Marilyn) of Fort Wayne, IN Eric Robinson (Cassandra) Cincinnati, OH And a host of other relatives and friends. And a special friend, Darlene Cross. Preceded in death by: Her parents, Harold Sr. and Bettie O. Robinson
