Phyllis F. Mackey, 84 of New Castle, Indiana, passed away on Monday June 11, 2019. She was well known in the area as a cellist and performed in the Muncie, Anderson and Richmond symphonies.
She was born on October 21, 1934 to the late Fred and Eva Rode of Muskegon, Michigan and is survived by three loving daughters: Julia Eve Irish, Katherine Helen Zalok and Ann Stacy Armstrong and five grandchildren: Sam, Adam and Zachary Zalok and Grace and Scott Armstrong. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in passing by husbands Rolf Legbandt and Richard Mackey.
