Ralph Edward Pierce, age 88, of Centerville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 25, 2022, at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond, Indiana to Elmer and Ethel Goodwin Pierce on July 3, 1933, and had lived in the area most of his life. Ralph was a veteran of the US Army. During the time he was stationed in Germany, Ralph was a member of the Military Police. On March 26, 1965, Ralph married his love, Betty Jodell Harshman, in First Baptist Church. Many will remember him as a milkman from Wayne Dairy. During his 50 years working there he had worked his way up to become a senior sales manager. After retirement he delivered car parts for Carquest and volunteered at Reid Hospital to help keep himself busy. He was a racing enthusiast, stock car and Indy car were his favorite. He enjoyed taking the family to the track to watch races. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Golden Rule Nursing Home and their staff and to Reid Hospice and their staff for the care that was given to Ralph during his time of need.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Betty Jodell Pierce; sons Tim (Holly) Pierce, Tory (Renee) Pierce; siblings Don (Cheryl) Pierce, Ruth Ann Harrgent; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Charlie Pierce Sr. and Betty Edwards.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday May 31, 2022, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Rick Alvey will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Ralph’s name to Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E 91st St #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
