Rauslynn Marsene Platt, born on March 23, 1975 in Richmond, Indiana to Reginald and Naomi White, gained her wings on July 3, 2019.
Raus lived in Richmond, Indiana most of her life until moving to Bridgeport, Ohio 6 years ago. Raus had a very loving and giving heart. Raus helped in the care of in-laws and grandchildren. Family was always first in her life. She dedicated her life to the Lord at a very young age at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (Tabernacle of Faith), and later became a member at New Life Church of the Nazarene. She served the Lord by worshipping and singing songs of praise.
Raus was an entrepreneur. She started her business adventures by obtaining her cosmetology instructors license through DDIC and opening her first business, The New You Beauty Salon. Raus just recently furthered her education through AIU where she was due to walk the stage on July 26, 2019 to receive her degree in Business Administration. She was currently running her new business “Sissy’s Pearl Family with Raus Plus 3”, where she gained many followers and good friends.
Raus loved all things sparkly and shiny, just like her personality. She enjoyed demonstrating her love for make-up and nails by doing tutorial to teach others how to shine as bright on the outside as they do on the inside. She had a passion and love for the LGBT community. Raus was always there with a shoulder to cry on and an ear to talk to. She was always willing to listen, give advice and support anyone, no matter what.
Raus leaves to cherish her memory, her husband and best friend (her meat and taters) of 17 years: Ron Platt of Bridgeport, Ohio and one son: Jordan Sewell of Bridgeport, Ohio; step-children: Charon, Laron, Brian, Rashaun, Ron Michael, Summer and Sade. She also leaves to cherish her mother: Naomi White of Richmond, Indiana and one brother: Carmelo “Maurice” (Lora) White of Richmond, Indiana. Raus leaves grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins to carry on her legacy. She also leaves behind special friends: Tara Timmons, Christie Patrick, Jonita Malichi and Ciji Hurley.
Raus was preceded in death by her father: Reginal D. White; daughter: Carmalita Michelle Yvette Platt and special aunt: Mary Rodriquez.
The family would like to express special thanks to everyone who has stood by our side and for all the kind and thoughtful cards, prayers and words of encouragement.
