Raymond E. Ballinger, age 60, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio.
Born December 5, 1957, in Richmond, Indiana, to Frederic E. and Iris M. Miller Ballinger, Ray was a life-long resident of Richmond. He was a graduate of Richmond High School. Ray formerly worked in maintenance at Osborn International and Dana Corporation. He loved woodworking and had a great sense of humor. Ray had a lot of friends and neighbors with whom he enjoyed spending time, and he was always willing to help others. Ray was proud to be an organ and tissue donor.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Duvall Ballinger, to whom he was married January 21, 2010; son, Jeremy Ballinger of Richmond; step-daughters, Taylor Ratliff and Kaitlyn Ratliff, both of Richmond; grandsons, Noah and Dylan; sister, Debra Boardman of Greens Fork, Indiana; brother, Charles Ballinger of Richmond; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kelly and Marie Duvall of Richmond; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial visitation for Raymond E. Ballinger will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
