Raymond E. “Ray” Ramsey, 64, of Richmond died July 3, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born December 7, 1953 in Richmond to James and Lorretta Jamison Ramsey and lived here most of his life. He was the owner/broker of Whitewater Valley Realty. He was a member of the Richmond Board of Realtors and operated The Richmond School of Real Estate
Ray was a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing; and a 1972 graduate of Richmond High School, where he played in the band. He was a sponsor of Junior Achievement, youth sports, and the American Cancer Society. He loved music and a member of the Crossroads Band, and he was an Indianapolis Colts fan.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years MaryAnn, four children Kelly (Gregg) Jones of Centerville, Christopher Coffel , Rebecca (Tim) Coleman, and Karen (Davis) Candlish of Richmond, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two brothers Eddie (Nancy) Ramsey and Steve (Tracy) Ramsey of Boston, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday July 9, 2018 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Spon officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Friends may call 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
