Rebecca J. Reeder, 70, of New Castle went home to be with the Lord October 17, 2019.
She was born March 28, 1949, to O.H. “Bob” and Dorothy (Smith) Rains of New Castle. She was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the board and a Sunday School Teacher, also a counselor, and prayer warrior. She was a private hiome health aid and was dedicated to helping others.
She married the love of her life, Herman E. Reeder, in December 1970. Left to cherish her loving memory is daughter Jenny Barley and her 3 grandbabies and 2 great-grandbabies whom she adored, Kaelynn (Jacobb) Prater of Webster, IN, Shayla Barley and Walker Barley both of New Castle, Zayn and Atticus Prater of Webster; a brother Ernest Rains of New Castle and sister Carolyn (Ronald) True of Cambridge City; several nieces, nephews and cousins and several unofficial children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman, her parents, a sister Patsy Wollums, a brother Mark Rains.
Services will be Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 3pm at the Southside Church of the Nazarene, 2805 S 14thStreet, New Castle, IN. Visitation from 2pm-3pm Sunday at the Church. Rev Randy Tooley and Rev. Gene Bennett will be officiating. Burial to follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
