All Indiana voters may choose to cast a ballot by mail in the upcoming June 2 primary election.

For the June primary, a voter does not need to indicate a reason to vote by mail as is usually required, because of COVID-19.

To request an absentee-by-mail ballot, download and print a state form.

Or, the form may be requested by calling, writing or faxing local government offices.

The deadline to return the vote-by-mail form is 11:59 p.m. local time Thursday, May 21.

In the primary, voters can request a ballot for either the Republican or Democratic parties for county, state and national races, or they may request a ballot that only contains a public question (such as the Western Wayne Schools referendum funding request).

While many government offices are closed to the public, employees are working remotely and checking mail and accepting phone calls.
