Shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, emergency personnel received a medical call for an unconscious female in the 1500 block of South J Street in Richmond.
Medical personnel arrived and began CPR. Richmond Police Department patrol officers identified the female as Katrice Orr, 42.
She was transported to Reid Health and was pronounced dead a short time later, according to a news release from Capt. Curt Leverton.
Investigators were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
Leverton said a search warrant was obtained for the residence, and investigators talked with witnesses to gather information. The investigation will continue, he said.
