CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Robert E. Holt, age 76, of Centerville, Indiana, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Forest Park Health Campus.
Born Dec. 8, 1941, in Richmond, Indiana, to Henderson and Addie Anderson Holt, Robert lived in Wayne County most of his life. He formerly worked at Wallace Metal Products Inc., NATCO, Amcast Automotive, and Philco-Ford Corporation. Robert was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and old cars.
Survivors include his sons, Jeff (Carey) Holt of Centerville, Tracy (Lisa) Holt of Richmond, and Scott (Amy) Holt of Centerville; grandchildren, Christina and Robert Holt, Heather Clopp, Kayla (fiancé, Zane McGinnis) Holt, and Ian and Molly Holt; great-grandchildren, Skyrah and Xander; mother, Addie Holt of Richmond; sisters, Linda, Wanda, Martha, and Pauline; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Mary H. Rhinehart Holt, who died on Aug. 15, 2017, and his father.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Chalk officiating. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery.
